We have several master loggers on our team.
White oak is at an all-time high making it very profitable to harvest at this time.
Mature timber on a select cut is averaging the landowner anywhere from $1000 to $3000 an acre depending on the quality of the timber. We will pay for the timber upfront or cut it on a share bases. The share bases takes out the guesswork meaning the landowner gets paid for every tree removed from their land.
As we build roads through the land to remove the trees, we are always looking for ways to create habitat areas for animals like maybe building food plot areas. As a family that loves to hunt, we find that removing larger timber and leaving the tops from them creates great bedding areas for deer and other animals. Removing the larger timber opens up the canopy allowing sunlight to reach the young timber to promote new growth.
Give us a call and let’s discuss your options on getting the most out of your timber.
